PRESS RELEASE
Iman’s Light Foundation Calls on the Community to Join International Fentanyl Awareness Day 2026
A day of awareness, prevention, education, and solidarity dedicated to saving lives
Miramar, Florida. Iman’s Light Foundation, together with Commissioner Maxwell Chambers, warmly invites the community to participate in International Fentanyl Awareness Day 2026, a community-focused initiative dedicated to strengthening public awareness, prevention education, and access to essential resources regarding fentanyl and other potentially deadly substances.
The event will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Miramar City Hall, 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar, FL 33025.
Under the powerful message “Turn Our City Lights Purple and Save Lives,” the initiative seeks to transform awareness and prevention into a shared community commitment. As part of the observance, city lights will be illuminated in purple as a symbol of unity, remembrance, hope, and solidarity with individuals, families, and communities affected by substance-related loss.
This free public event will provide essential community resources, along with music, food, special guest speakers, educational information, and opportunities for community engagement.
A Mission Rooted in Service
Iman’s Light Foundation is committed to bringing awareness, education, support, and hope to individuals and families affected by the devastating consequences of dangerous substances.
The Foundation promotes a clear and meaningful vision:
Educate to prevent. Prevent to protect.
Unite to save lives.
International Fentanyl Awareness Day represents an opportunity to bring important information directly to the community, encourage meaningful conversations, and strengthen collaboration among organizations, community leaders, institutions, professionals, businesses, sponsors, and concerned citizens.
A Call to the Community
Iman’s Light Foundation is making a special appeal to families, young people, educators, community leaders, social organizations, businesses, professionals, and citizens to attend, participate in, and share this important community initiative.
Community participation matters. Every person who attends helps expand the reach of prevention education and strengthens the collective effort to protect lives.
The Foundation also welcomes individuals, businesses, organizations, and community partners who wish to contribute to this mission through sponsorships, resources, services, outreach, or collaborative partnerships.
United in Purpose
International Fentanyl Awareness Day is more than a one-day event. It is an opportunity to recognize that prevention requires continued education, awareness, compassion, and collective action.
To attend is to support. To share is to educate. To collaborate is to make a difference. Together, we can help save lives.
The community is invited to stand alongside Iman’s Light Foundation and Commissioner Maxwell Chambers for this important gathering and to become part of a movement dedicated to transforming awareness into action.
Be the Light in Darkness.
